Riteish Deshmukh’s magnum opus Raja Shivaji continues to make waves at the box office. After an explosive opening week, the period action-drama has notched another impressive milestone in its second week, solidifying its place among Marathi cinema’s biggest earners.

Powerful Debut Week Numbers

Made on a hefty ₹75 crore budget, Raja Shivaji smashed expectations right out of the gate. In its first seven days, the film raked in a staggering ₹57.7 crore net, drawing audiences with its grand scale, dramatic storytelling, and stellar performances. This blockbuster start set the stage for a memorable second week.

Day 8 Performance

On its eighth day, the film earned an estimated net of ₹3.6 crore. Although this marks an 18 percent dip from Friday’s ₹4.4 crore haul, it remains a solid figure given the arrival of new releases. Cumulatively, Raja Shivaji has amassed ₹61.3 crore net (approximately ₹72.3 crore gross) in India, a testament to its sustained appeal.

Climbing the Marathi Charts

With ₹61.3 crore to its name, Raja Shivaji has leapfrogged over Ved (₹61.2 crore) to claim the third spot among Marathi films. Industry insiders predict it will soon overtake Baipan Bhari Deva (₹76.28 crore) for the runner-up position. Whether it can challenge the record-setting Sairat (₹90 crore) remains the next big question.
